Luxe Class (Semi-Off-Road Use)
Effective Date: June 2025
Issued by: Market Direct Group PTY LTD (ABN 22 115 038 483)
Applicable Models: Gold Class Caravans – Luxe Class

1. Introduction
This Warranty Policy outlines the express warranty terms and conditions offered by Gold Class Caravans for the Gold Class Luxe Class range of caravans, specifically designed for semi-off-road touring. This policy exists in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Gold Class Luxe Class caravans are engineered for light-duty terrain, including sealed roads, graded gravel tracks, and maintained access roads typically found in national parks. They are not designed for full off-road travel. Any use of a Luxe Class caravan beyond these intended environments, including rugged or remote off-road terrain, may void this warranty.
2. Warranty Coverage
2.1 Warranty Periods
- Manufacturer’s Warranty: 24 months from the original purchase date.
- Structural Warranty: Lifetime structural warranty limited to the drawbar and chassis for the original purchaser.
2.2 Eligibility Criteria To qualify for coverage under this warranty:
- The caravan must have been purchased new from an authorised Gold Class Caravans dealer. A list of our approved dealers can be found at our website.
- The claimant must be the original purchaser. This warranty is non-transferable.
- The product must not have been used for hire, rental, or any commercial purpose.
- The caravan must be operated and maintained according to the guidelines provided in the official user manual, including that the caravan must have received its scheduled services.
3. Intended Use and Terrain Limitations
Luxe Class caravans are suitable for:
- Gazetted roads
- A gazetted road is deemed as:
- A public road recognised by the government.
- Formally documented in a government gazette, which means it has legal status and is generally maintained by a public authority (like a local council or transport department).
Use outside of these parameters will void this warranty and is considered misuse. Specifically, this includes:
- Unmaintained or severely rutted fire trails
- Crossing water above axle height or through unbridged water crossings
- Operation in salt-laden coastal areas
- Use in declared bushfire danger zones
- Exposure to airborne travel or jump landings (e.g., dips and jumps that cause the caravan to leave the ground)
Important Notice: A Luxe Class caravan must not be used in any environment that implies it can follow the towing path of a 4WD in a full off-road setting. Doing so will be deemed misuse and will render this warranty void.
4. Excluded Items
This warranty does not cover damage or defects resulting from:
- Surface rust or corrosion
- Tyres, wheels, or paint coatings
- General wear items and consumables (e.g., bearings, bulbs, fuses)
- Travel covers, securing straps, zips, mesh, or insect screens
Factory Seconds and Demonstrator Units Any caravan sold as a factory second, ex-demonstration, or damaged unit is sold “as-is” and is explicitly excluded from coverage under this warranty unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
5. Submitting a Warranty Claim
5.1 Lodgement Claims must be submitted through the authorised licensed Gold Class Caravans dealership from which you purchased your caravan. Claims submitted through other means, may not be received by us, and will incur processing delays if they are received.
5.2 Required Information
To allow us to process a warranty claim, we may require you to provide us with some or all of:
- Proof of original purchase
- Full description of the suspected fault or defect
- Supporting photographic evidence
- Travel history and usage location (especially for unsealed roads)
- Record of servicing and maintenance
Failure to provide us with such information where reasonably requested may result in your claim being rejected.
6. Grounds for Rejection of Warranty Claims
Gold Class Caravans reserves the right to reject claims under the following circumstances:
- Repairs were commenced without our prior written approval
- Late notification to us of a defect lead to unnecessary consequential damage
- You unreasonably restrict access to the caravan or refuse to allow us inspection of it
- The claim is likely caused by misuse, abuse, unauthorised modification, or other cause arising after the caravan was manufactured
- The claim is likely or substantially caused by a failure to perform regular and documented maintenance
7. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
This warranty is provided in addition to consumer guarantees under the ACL. As a consumer, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for major product failures and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a product fails to be of acceptable quality but the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced.
